SLC students will be sponsoring an RCMS St. Patrick's Day Dance for 6th-8th Grade on March 17th from 7-8:30 pm. This dance is for RCMS students only. Admission for the dance is $1. School dress code will be enforced.

Congratulations to our winners of the RCMS Spelling Bee! Our 2nd place finisher was Angel Hemrich, 8th grade and our champion was Brianna Beard, 6th grade. They will advance to the Regional Spelling Bee in Decatur on March 11 to compete for a chance to advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May. Good luck, girls!

State Qualifier -Gentry Michels Gentry is a two time state qualifier that will be wrestling in the Novice Division at 178 lbs. He is going to State with a record of 20-6 with 16 Pins. He brought home 1st place at 5 Regular Season Tournaments this year- Lawrenceville, Vandalia, Highland, Carbondale and O-Town Throwdown. Gentry will be competing in the IKWF State Wrestling tournament in Rockford, IL on March 10-11! Good Luck at State this week, Gentry!

Five students will be headed to Northern Illinois to compete in the state Mathcounts competition after finishing first in the regional Mathcounts competition. The team of Jereme Higginbotham, Owen Cycholl, Ethel Zuber & Kaitlin Kocher finished first and Finn Lathrop placed first individually as well. Good luck this weekend!

Volleyball Announcement: The C game scheduled at Salem on March 8, has been canceled. The 7th grade game will start at 4:30

Volleyball 8th grade night will be Monday, March 13. The 7th grade game will begin at 6:00 pm followed by the 8th grade game. Players and parents will be recognized between games.
