Each year Illinois schools are required to participate in a survey of learning conditions to provide valuable data on continuous school improvement. We are asking that one parent/guardian from each household take the short survey at the link below for each school in which they have a child attending. http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/

Hello RCMS Family, Here at RCMS we are working hard to create a unified definition of, and response to bullying. The formal definition we use is: "Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself." This definition was adapted from the work of Dan Olweus, who is long recognized as a pioneer of bullying research. In order to help our RCMS families better understand bullying, we would like to share with you this infographic explaining the difference between bullying and conflict. At RCMS, we also have an electronic way for students to report incidents of bullying. Every student has this form bookmarked on the browser in their Chromebook, and it can be completed anonymously. A direct link to that form can also be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScEfZcOxSh8nm0eesf_SWLpEtk9PHE1daPLjPCss19GE44csA/viewform
