8th Grade Parents/Guardians
Eighth-grade students will be participating in the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) during the week of March 9–16. The assessment will take place during students’ regularly scheduled science block. Each student will be taking three tests.
The Illinois Science Assessment measures student understanding of the Illinois Learning Standards for Science, including life science, physical science, earth and space science, and engineering design concepts. Each student will be taking three tests. The tests will challenge students to apply critical thinking skills, analyze data, and explain scientific phenomena.
Students are encouraged to come to school each day, be well-rested, and do their best on each section of the assessment. Teachers have been working hard throughout middle school to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
We are confident our 8th graders will represent our school well!

Please be sure to have students bring their orange folder that they received from freshman orientation with all necessary paperwork.

Early Dismissal and No School Reminder - Today, Feb 26 - 1 Hour Early Dismissal and No School Monday, March 2. The next 1 hour early dismissal will be Wed, March 25.
